Director Eugene Mira, whose 2004 comedy/sci fi picture The Birthday took on somewhat of a cult following, will be teaming up with producers Telecinco and M.A. Faura (the team behind Pan’s Labyrinth and The Orphanage) to create a heavily genre oriented romantic thriller entitled Agnosia. The production team is keeping very quiet and details are still mostly under wraps, but writer Antonio Trashorras (The Devil’s Backbone) has said this about the movie:
“Agnosia” is a romantic thriller set in Barcelona in 1899, in which a terrible plot (plan) is woven around the strange illness of a young heiress. Starring Eduardo Noriega, Martina Gedeck, Bárbara Goenaga and Félix Gómez.
