Awesome Poster Art For Michod’s ‘Animal Kingdom’
Found this one over at Twitch this morning, and being as excited as I am about this flick I had to post this absolutely gorgeous poster. Jeremy Saunders of Australia is the man behind this little work of art, and is also (to my surprise) the man responsible for that infamous “scissors” poster from Lars Von Trier’s Antichrist last year. Check the poster above.
It’s been an exciting week for David Michod up in Park City. Being his first feature film and directorial debut, Animal Kingdom has been getting nothing but positive reviews, and is hugely popular amongst Sundance audiences. There’s already rumors of distribution from several different companies, and I can only hope that it comes to America first. I wrote about Animal Kingdom a few days back as well, putting up some new clips from the film and reposting the teaser trailer (which I’ll do again here), but if you didn’t catch the clips and want to know a bit more, check out the previous post here.
Via Twitch: Animal Kingdom is a sprawling crime saga set in the underworld of Melbourne, Australia. Pope Cody, an armed robber on the run from a gang of renegade detectives, is in hiding, surrounded by his roughneck friends and family. Soon, Pope’s nephew, Joshua “J” Cody arrives and moves in with his estranged relatives. When tensions between the family and the police reach a bloody peak, “J” finds himself at the center of a cold-blooded revenge plot that turns the family upside down.
